Pre-WW1 rifles
Adopted in 1896, this is the 6.5mm caliber Mauser infantry rifle used by the Swedish military through WW1 and in variants up till 1944. Strongly resembling the German G98, this rifle is in lovely authentic condition. Dated 1908 on the breech below the Swedish crown and Carl Gustafs factory mark, this rifle has good original blacking to the steel, and lovely hardwood stock, complete with brass butt disc (for indicating barrel bore size). This rifle cocks and dry-fires with a precise action, and can be fully field stripped. Matching serial numbers to bolt, breech, rear band, floorplate and buttplate, and complete with original sling and cleaning-rod. Deactivated in the UK with proofhouse certificate of deactivation.
