This is the British Sten MK2 submachine gun brought into service in 1941. Historically this gun was known as the 'plumbers delight' and the 'stench gun'. Together with others,  this was one of the weapons that the UK developed  when faced with German invasion.  Over 4 million Stens were made and they served their purpose very well. This item is in very  nice condition, with undamaged blacked finish on the steel, with just the wear you'd expect on a service weapon. Although deactivated to the latest specification, it has the benefit of a sliding cocking handle and fully moving trigger, while still retaining the visible portion of its original bolt, which has not been replaced with a plain steel tube which is usual. The magazine housing will rotate round to the shipping position too,so this smg can provide a lot of interest to the collector or re-inactor alike. Complete with original 1944 dated sling, detachable magazine and 2 rounds of inert 9mm ammunition to compliment this classic weapon. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to full UK specification.
