This is the British Sten MK2 submachine gun brought into service in 1941. Historically this gun was known as the 'plumbers delight' and the 'stench gun'. Together with others,  this was one of the weapons that the UK developed  when faced with German invasion.  Over 4 million Stens were made and they served their purpose very well. This item is in very  nice condition, with excellent blacking. Although deactivated to the latest spec it has the benefit of a sliding and locking cocking handle, and fully moving trigger. Furthermore it still retains the original bolt, which has not been replaced with a plain steel tube which is the norm. With detachable magazine and Canadian style 'skeleton stock', this classic smg comes complete with original 1945 dated sling and 3 rounds of inert 9mm ammunition. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to full UK specification.
