Deactivated Spanish Mauser M1943 infantry carbine, early spec

This is an unusual WW2 Mauser infantry rifle, of similar style to the Czech VZ24, based on the German Kar 98k, and made at the La Coruna arsenal from 1943 till 1957, following the major German influence in the Spanish Civil War. Unlike the K98, it features a straight bolt handle, and an extension to the bayonet lug enabling it to accomodate the M1941 Spanish made Bolo bayonet, rather than the K98 bayonet. This particular example is in very good condition, with some matching serial numbers, most of the original finish to the steel and near perfect hardwood stock. Dated 1954 on the receiver it is identical to the WW2 made carbines, chambered for the standard 7.92 x 57mm Mauser cartridge. Cocks and dry fires, and fully strippable. The inert cartridges are not included with this rifle, but are shown to 'complete' this unusual vintage weapon. Deactivated in the UK with proof-house certificate of deactivation.
