Deactivated Spanish made 10-bore boxlock shotgun

This is a 10-bore double-barrelled boxlock shotgun of side-by-side construction made in Spain, probably in the famous gun-making Eibar region, by one of many family owned gun making businesses making good quality affordable shotguns. Probably used for shooting geese and other large birds, this is monster of a shotgun. The barrels are over 34" long, and the cartridge is nearly 25mm in diameter, compared to the roughly 18mm of a 12-bore.  A 12-bore cartridge is shown as a comparison to the chamber size. This example is in very good condition, with nicely cross-hatched wooden stock and handguard. All of the blacking remains on the  barrels, and there is a pleasant patina to the action. This shotgun conforms to the latest deactivation spec, so breaks but does not dry-fire or strip down, though would still make an impressive display mounted over the fireplace, but you'd need strong brackets as this gun is heavy!  Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK/EU specification.
