Deactivated Smith and Wesson Model 10 pre-Victory, clear chambers

This is a 0.38" calibre Smith & Wesson Model 10 'Military and Police' revolver, developed in 1899. Described as the most successful handgun of all time,  this was one of the standard side-arms of the British and Commonwealth forces during WW2 along with the Enfield no2 and Webley Mk4, and known as the 'Victory' revolver during wartime production. This example is pre-Victory production model, without the V prefix to the serial number. In good authentic condition, this revolver features wooden hand grips in good sound condition and most of it's original backed finish, with matching serial numbers to frame and chamber. Under current regulations this gun will not dry fire, but it can be loaded with inert rounds as shown, and comes with a full set of 6, and has working trigger which will revolve the cylinder. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate of Deactivation.
