This is a 0.38" calibre Smith & Wesson Model 10 'Victory' revolver, developed in 1899. Described as the most successful handgun of all time, this was one of the standard side-arms of the British and Commonwealth forces during WW2 along with the Enfield no2 and Webley Mk4, supplied under the 'lend lease' agreement. In very good authentic condition, this revolver features wooden hand grips in sound complete condition with just a few knocks but nothing missing, and 99% of it's original finish to the steel, with matching serial numbers. Of interest is the marking NZ 5279 just rear of the trigger on the spine, and a painted number 48 on the bottom of the butt. Good precise action, this revolver can be cocked and dry-fired. The inert rounds shown are not included but are available separately at £1.50 each in the 'Inert Ammunition' section, post free if ordered together with this classic service revolver. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
