Deactivated SLR L1A1 battle rifle Lithgow made **SOLD**
This is an Australian SLR L1A1 self-loading rifle, made at the Small Arms Factory- Lithgow where production ran from 1959 till 1986. Chambering the 7.62 x 51mm Nato round from a 20-round magazine, the SLR was a popular weapon in its time, preferred by the infantryman to the US M-16 due to it's superior stopping power. The black plastic furniture is in very good condition, no damage or marks worth mentioning, good blacked finish to the steel. This is a Lithgow weapon, identifiable by the serial number prefix of AD and the Lithgow star emblem and broadarrow stamps on the action. Comes with correct webbing sling and a couple of inert rounds to load into the magazine. Deactivated in the UK to UK specification with Proof-House certificate.
