Deactivated Schermuly 1" flare pistol/line thrower

This is a cast-alloy bodied, with steel detachable barrel, line thrower or signal pistol, in very good condition. Marked S.P.R.A. on the cast alloy body/handle, standing for Schermuly Pistol Rocket Apparatus, and a pattern number stamped where the body meets the barrel. This flare pistol will cock and dry-fire, by pulling out the brass ended rod in the handle, and pulling the unguarded trigger. These are quite unusual and date probably from WW2 and later. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification. Flare pistols are not effected by EU regulations.
