Deactivated Russian Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 'Octo' 1935 dated infantry rifle with bayonet **SOLD**

The standard infantry rifle of the Red Army during WW2. This Mosin-Nagant M1891/30  is dated 1935 on the receiver, and comes with correct sling, cruciform bayonet, a clip of inert rounds and cleaning rod.  The 1891 relates to it's first production date, and the 30 relates to its final modification date of 1930, when amongst other things, the octagonal breech was redesigned and gradually phased out. This example is a Russian Armoury refurbished rifle, and quite probably saw action in the defence of the Motherland!  before being put into storage after WW2. It also has the unusual brass reinforcers on the upper handguard. In very good original condition with near faultless lacquered solid wooden stock and very good blacking. Marked with the Tula Arsenal stamp, an arrow within a large star, serial number and date of 1935 on the receiver. Cocks, dry fires and fully field-strippable including bolt. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
