This is a Russian Baikal NK-43-EM 12-bore shotgun, named after the Baikal Forest in Siberia. Manufactured at Izhevsk in the Urals, renowned for making millions of Mosin rifles and other arms during WW2, the Baikal is a rugged and reliable shotgun, absolutely typical of the weaponry associated with the Soviet Union. This particular example, of side-by-side design, is in very good condition with hardwood stock and handguard, and very good blacking to the engraved action and 28 inch  barrels. Marked NK (using Russian letters) 43-EM and 'Made in USSR' forward of the trigger guard. Deactivated to the latest spec, this shotgun breaks with sprung triggers but no dry-fire, but still makes a great display piece. Comes complete with two inert 12g cartridges. Deactivated in the UK to UK/EU specification with Proof House certificate.
