Deactivated Russian Baikal IJ-58-MA 12-bore boxlock shotgun SOLD

This is the Russian Baikal model IJ-58-MA 12-bore shotgun, named after the Baikal Forest in Siberia. Manufactured at Izhevsk in the Urals, renowned for making millions of Mosin rifles and other arms during WW2, the Baikal is a rugged and reliable shotgun, absolutely typical of the weaponry associated with the Soviet Union. This particular example, of side-by-side design, is in very good condition with hardwood stock and handguard, showing minor marks in the varnish, and good blacking to the lightly engraved action. Breaks, cocks and dry-fires with a precise action and operational safety. Comes complete with two inert 12g cartridges. Deactivated in the UK to UK/EU specification with Proof House certificate.
