This is the Russian Baikal 12-bore shotgun, named after the Baikal Forest in Siberia. Manufactured at Izhevsk in the Urals, renowned for making millions of Mosin rifles and other arms during WW2, the Baikal is a rugged and reliable shotgun, absolutely typical of the weaponry associated with the Soviet Union. This particular example, of side-by-side design, is in good condition with hardwood stock and handguard,  though there is a repair to the stock. Pleasant patina to the lightly engraved action and 29" barrels. Marked 'Made in USSR' on the side of the action, and Baikal on the butt-plate. Deactivated to current EU spec, so breaks with moving triggers but no dry-fire or strip. Comes complete with two inert 12g cartridges. Deactivated in the UK to UK/EU specification with Proof House certificate.
