Deactivated Portuguese Mauser Model 1904 infantry rifle SOLD

This is the Portuguese Model 1904 Mauser- Vergueiro rifle, designed by a Portuguese army officer by the name of Vergueiro in conjunction with Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken, and introduced in 1904.  These 6.5mm calibre rifles were built to a very high standard by Mauser for the Portuguese military, and they were in use through WW1 and up till 1937, when a shorter carbine model very similar to the Mauser K98 was introduced. This particular example is in super condition with excellent steel and woodwork, with matching serial number to bolt. It appears the bayonet lug has been removed and modifications made to the stock, possibly for sporting purposes or sharp-shooting. Comes with leather sling.  Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.

Our Price: £195.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
