The standard infantry rifle of the Red Army during WW2. This Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 is dated 1924 on the receiver, and comes with cruciform bayonet, a clip of inert rounds and cleaning rod. The 1891 relates to it's first production date, and the 30 relates to its final modification date of 1930, when amongst other things, the octagonal breech was redesigned and gradually phased out. This example is a Russian Armoury refurbished rifle, and quite probably saw action in the defence of the Motherland before being put into storage after WW2. In very good original condition with super lacquered solid wood stock, with the correct steel reinforcers around the sling points, and very good blacking to the steel, with full matching serial numbers. Marked with the Izhevsk Arsenal stamp, serial number and date of 1924 on the octagonal receiver, this rifle cocks, dry fires and is fully field-strippable including bolt. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK/EU specification.
