Deactivated Mosin-Nagant M44 1946 dated Russian carbine with bayonet, early spec

This is the Mosin-Nagant M44 carbine, or model 1944, which replaced the model 1938 in late 1944. It remained in service till 1955, and it's specification was much the same as the M38 with the addition of the permanently attached side-folding cruciform-type bayonet, a unique design feature at the time. This particular example is dated 1946 on the receiver above the Izhevsk Armoury stamp, and is in very good original condition.  The hardwood stock shows very minor marks from service use, and the steel is very good with nearly all the blacked finish. Able to be cocked and dry-fired and fully stripped, this just post-war infantry carbine, identical to the WW2 ones,  comes with genuine cleaning-rod and a couple of inert 7.62 x 54mm rounds. Deactivated in the UK with proofhouse certificate.

Our Price: £495.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
