Deactivated Mosin-Nagant M38 Russian infantry carbine, marked 1891/59 on receiver **SOLD**

The Mosin-Nagant M1938 or M38 infantry carbine is the rifle that was introduced in 1938 to replace the M1891/30 'long' rifle in 1938. This particular example is one which little is known about, and appears to have the action of a cut down model 1891, with a date of 1959. It has the longer rifle rear sights, rather than the carbine sights, but is otherwise the same as the M38. The steel is in very good  condition with all its original blacked finish, with an Izhevsk Armoury stamp on the bolt and barrel band, and the solid hardwood stock is also in very nice condition with just the odd knock. Of particular importance, all matching serial numbers. Capable of being cocked and dry-fired, and fully stripped, including bolt, this rifle comes complete with cleaning-rod and the correct sling.  An inexpensive WW2-style infantry rifle in good condition, and getting very hard to find now. The inert cartridges shown are not included but are available separately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered together. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
