Deactivated Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 infantry rifle dated 1936 c/w matching serial bayonet SOLD

The standard infantry rifle of the Red Army during WW2. This Mosin-Nagant model 1891/30  is dated 1936 on the receiver with Izhevsk Arsenal stamp and Hammer & Sickle emblem, and comes complete with correct sling, cleaning rod and matched cruciform bayonet. The 1891 relates to it's first production date, and the 30 relates to its final major modification date of 1930. In 1938 it was supplemented with a similar shortened carbine model, designated the M38, but rifle production continued on into 1944. This example is a Russian Armoury refurbished rifle, and is in very good condition with a lovely grained hardwood stock and excellent blacking.  The stock is of the rarer early style with the screwed on sling point reinforcers, and there is a very nice CCCP cartouche on the butt. Of particular importance is the fact that this rifle has all matching stamped serial numbers, including the bolt and bayonet, with Izhevsk stamps on many of the steel parts. Able to be cocked, dry fired, and fully strippable.  Inert rounds shown are not included but are available in the 'Inert Ammunition' section, post free when ordered with rifle.  Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
