Deactivated Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 1942 dated Russian infantry rifle **SOLD**

The standard infantry rifle of the Red Army during WW2, this is the Mosin-Nagant model 1891/30. The 1891 relates to it's first production date, and the 30 relates to its final modification date of 1930. This example is dated 1942 on the receiver, and is one of the many Russian Armoury refurbished rifles that were put into storage after WW2. Good hardwood laquered stock and excellent blacking to the steel, with just the odd knocks and bruises as would be expected on a service rifle. The breech is stamped with the Izhevsk Arsenal mark, the Soviet Hammer & Sickle, manufacture date and the serial number, matched to the rest of the rifle.  Of interest is the early style sling point on the butt. Cocks and dry fires, fully strippable  and complete with naval issue sling. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification. Bayonet available for £20 if required.
