Deactivated Martini-Enfield .303 carbine , 1897 dated, marked to Staffordshires **SOLD**

This is the Martini-Enfield mk1 artillery carbine, which was a Martini-Henry mkIII fitted with an Enfield barrel, chambered in .303 calibre. This single-shot carbine was used by mounted troops and artillery during the 2nd Boer War, and even in WW1 by the Arabs led by Lawrence of Arabia. This particular example is in very good original condition, with lovely clear Enfield cartouche on the butt, and a butt-disc marked up to 4.S.STF, (4/South Staffs Regiment) The right breech side has faint markings of a MkIII gun, and the left side is clearly marked with Victoria's crown, Enfield 1897, M.E.303, A.C.1. with other WD marks around the trigger guard. This unusual carbine comes with a genuine webbing sling and a couple of inert .303 rounds as shown.  No cleaning rod as this was deleted on this model. Deactivated to current EU spec, so full working action and sprung trigger but no dry-fire. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to full UK/EU specification.

Our price: £545.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the EU.
