Deactivated M1 Garand self-loading rifle SOLD

The M1 Garand was the standard infantry rifle of the US Army during WW2, and the first semi-automated rifle to be issued by the US military. Introduced before WW2 to replace the Springfield M1903 bolt-action rifle, and chambering the same .30 calibre round though in an 8-round clip, it continued in service right up into the Vietnam War. Made by the Springfield Armoury, the serial number dates it to the early 1950s, though it is almost identical to the wartime produced ones. As a late spec deactivation, this rifle will not cock and dry-fire, but does have the advantage of a sliding cocking handle, and can still be field stripped. Very good woodwork with just the odd marks from its service use, and excellent finish on the steel, it comes complete with period sling, though the inert rounds are not included. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.

Our Price: £650.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
