Deactivated Luger P08 9mm Mauser made pistol dated **SOLD**


This is the world famous 9mm caliber Luger P08 automatic pistol, designed and patented by Georg J.Luger in 1898, and produced from 1900 by DWM, Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken, till the end of WW2.  This particular example is in very good condition, with just some very light pitting evident on the slide, which appears to have been refinished.  Excellent original wooden grips, and with matching serial numbers throughout with the exception of the magazine (this is Waffenamt stamped), and trigger-group cover, which was probably a result of capture, when the trick was to remove the trigger cover and dump the trigger parts to disable the weapon. Waffenamt marked on the right side slide and barrel, dated 42 on the receiver and marked 'byf' for Mauser on the cocking toggle, this pistol still retains the white paint applied to the stamped GESICHERT (safety) mark . Also, attachments for lanyard and detachable stock. A super original example of this highly sought-after weapon. Will cock and dry fire, and comes with 3 inert 'Luger' marked rounds. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
