This is a British-built Lee-Enfield rifle no.4 mk2 made at the Royal Ordnance Factory at Fazakerley in Lancashire, and dated 2/53 on the receiver. The mark2 was a post-WW2 manufactured weapon, and was perhaps the pinacle of bolt-action rifle technology in an era of automatic weapons, making a superb sniper or sharp-shooter's rifle. In super authentic condition with excellent woodwork with brass buttplate, and perfect blacking, this example is equipped with the superior cast steel ladder sights, and has matched serial numbers to breech, stock and magazine, but sadly not the bolt, though it does match in finish. With detachable magazine and correct webbing sling, this rifle can be cocked and dry-fired and fully field stripped. Perfect for the National Serviceman or post-war reinactor. The inert .303 ammunition shown is not included, but is available in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 per round, post free if ordered together. Deactivated with certificate in the UK to UK specification.
Our price: £395.00
