Deactivated Lee-Enfield No4 mk1* Savage made

This is a Savage made Lee-Enfield no4 mk1* rifle in lovely original condition, manufactured at the Chicopee Falls armoury in Massachusetts, and supplied to the British Army during WW2 under the 'Lend-Lease' agreement.  The * designation signifies either Savage Firearms, USA or Long Branch Arsenal, Canada, manufacture and it is stamped US Property on the left side of the breech, and also carries the 'flaming bomb' US ordnance motif alongside the model number. Although undated, Savage rifles were only made from 1941-1944.  This rifle has very good original furniture, with the correct alloy buttplate, and fluted upper handguard, and very good blacking to the steel. Comes complete with genuine period webbing sling and a couple of inert .303 rounds with more available at £1.50 per round in the 'Inert Ammunition' section. Detachable magazine, working bolt and sprung trigger, but no dry-fire under current regulations.  Correct No4 'Spike' bayonets available from £25 with scabbard. Deactivated in the UK to current UK/EU specification.

Our Price: £675.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the EU.
