This is a Canadian-built Lee-Enfield rifle no.4 mk1* in very good original condition, built at the Long Branch factory and dated 1943 on the left hand side of the breech. This example has super original furniture, with the desirable fluted upper handguard, with the metalwork retaining most of it's original finish. Canadian acceptance stamps on breech and also butt. Fitted with the mid-war ladder sights, correct steel butt-plate, and detachable 10 round magazine, this rifle cocks, dry-fires and is fully strippable, and comes complete with webbing sling. The inert .303 ammunition shown is not included, but is available in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 per round, post free if ordered with the rifle. No4 'spike' bayonets also available from £18. Deactivated with certificate in the UK to UK specification.
