This is a 12-bore double-barrelled boxlock shotgun of side-by-side construction made by John Dickson & Son, of Princes Street, Edinburgh, as marked faintly on the top of the 30 inch Damascus steel barrels, and also to the front of the trigger guard, where he made very high quality guns from the 1820s right up to 2017.  This example is in lovely condition with classic cross-hatched hardwood rear and forestock, with just the odd marks that would be expected on an Edwardian-era shotgun.   Pleasant patina of age to the plain metalwork, with no signs of corrosion on the action or barrels. This shotgun breaks, cocks and dry-fires with a precise action on both barrels, with fuctional safety, and can be fully stripped. It would make a fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! Two inert cartridges are included, with more available seperately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered  with the shotgun. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to EU specification.
