Deactivated Italian Vetterli-Vitali M1870/87/15 rifle, 1889 dated, early spec **SOLD**

This is the Vetterli-Vitali model 1870/87/15 rifle, the various dates reflecting major changes to the design. In 1887, the single shot Vetterli M1870 was converted to magazine feed designed by Vitali, and then in 1915 it was converted again to chamber the latest 6.5mm Carcano ammunition, and was used by Italian support and colonial troops in WW1.  The furniture on this rifle is in very good condition considering the age, and has matching serial number on the buttstock. The steel is also very good with most of it's original finish, dated 1889 on the receiver along with Terni armoury and other stamps. This is an early spec deactivation, so will cock and dry-fire and fully strip. Deactivated in the UK with proofhouse certificate of deactivation.

Our price: £575.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal to own within the UK.
