Deactivated Italian Carcano M91/38 infantry carbine, 1941 dated

This is the Model 91/38 carbine developed originally by Salvatore Carcano in 1890 in Italy, and produced from 1891 till 1945 in various forms.  Introduced in 1940, the M91/38 was used by both German and Italian forces in WW2, and gained infamy for being the weapon that was used to assassinate John F. Kennedy. Chambered for a 6.5mm round,  and loaded via a 6-round 'en-bloc' clip, the M91/38 succeeded a short-lived 7.35mm version developed to give better stopping power and designated the  M38, but this was found to be unsatisfactory. On this example, the original hardwood furniture is in very good authentic condition with just the odd knocks, matching serial number to the butt, and very good original blacking to the steel. Dated 1941 on the right side of the breech, with the factory mark of Terni on the top. This carbine will cock and dry-fire and fully strip, and comes with leather sling and one cleaning rod which stows in the butt .  Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK/EU specification.

Our price: £395.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the EU.
