Deactivated Italian Beretta M1934 9mm pistol set, 1937 dated **SOLD**

This is an Italian made Beretta  Model 1934 chambered for the  9mm Short (.380 ACP) cartridge. Developed in 1934, it is an extremely compact, simple (comprising only 39 parts) and reliable weapon. The Model 34 was accepted in 1937 by the Italian Army as its standard sidearm, issued mainly to officers and selected troops and used on all battle-fronts, namely Africa, Europe and Russia. Produced up till 1991, model 1934s made during the "Fascist Era" were marked not only with the year of manufacture, but with Roman numerals indicating the year of the Fascist calender (1922 being year 1). This is example is dated 1937 with roman numerals for 16, so dating it to 1937/38. In good condition, with signs of light corrosion on the slide, this pistol comes with an original webbing holster, spare magazine, and 3 inert 9mm x 17 rounds to load into the spare mag. Able to be cocked, stripped and dry fired. A super unusual piece of Italian military history. Deactivated in the UK with certificate to full UK specification.
