Deactivated German Mauser K98 infantry rifle, dated 1937, early spec

This is the standard german infantry rifle of WW2, full name the Mauser  'Karabiner 98 kurz', or K98k, (karabiner meaning carbine and kurz meaning short) having a shorter barrel than the earlier 'Gewehr 98'.  Stamped S/42 1937 on the breach area for Mauser AG, Oberndorf. along with a number of good clear Nazi and Weimar Waffenamt stamps in various places. Very nice early solid hardwood stock, and some original blacking to the steel although signs of rust pitting in places. Very original example with matching serial numbers to breech, barrel and rear sights, stock, both barrel bands, trigger guard and floorplate, bolt release, but not the bolt itself. This rifle is an early deactivation and has full working bolt action and can be stripped. Inert rounds not included. Deactivated in the UK with proofhouse certificate of deactivation.

Our Price: £875.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the UK.
