Deactivated German Mauser K98 infantry rifle, 1943 dated **SOLD**
This is the standard german infantry rifle of WW2, full name the Mauser 'Karabiner 98 kurz', or K98k,(karabiner meaning carbine and kurz meaning short) having a shorter barrel than the earlier 'Gewehr 98'. The date and manufacturer code of DOT (Waffen-Werke Brunn AG) and 1943 are boldly stamped on the receiver, along with a number of clear Waffenamt stamps and Nazi eagles, and all the features on this rifle are consistent with a mid-war example. It is in very good clean condition with good laminated stock, and a good unrestored finish to the steel. This rifle can be cocked and dry fired, and is fully strippable, and comes with a good quality repro sling and a full clip of inert 7.92mm inert rounds, with more available in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK/EU specification.
