Deactivated German Mauser K98 infantry rifle, 1943 dated **SOLD**

This is the standard german infantry rifle of WW2, full name the Mauser 'Karabiner 98 kurz', or K98k,(karabiner meaning carbine and kurz meaning short) having a shorter barrel than the earlier 'Gewehr 98'   that was developed in 1898.  This rifle is marked 'bnz' for Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG, Steyr, in Austria, with a date of 1943 on the receiver and is in good sound condition. This rifle is one of the many weapons captured by the Russians during WW2 and put into storage after a refurbishment, and as such has matched etched serial numbers to bolt and stock. Marked Mod. 98 on the left side of the receiver with a good clear Nazi eagle and Waffenamp stamps round the breech area and on the bolt. Laminated stock in good condition, complete with cleaning rod and sight hood, and good quality repro sling, this rifle cocks and dry fires, and is fully strippable.   One clip of inert 7.92mm cartridges is also included, with more available in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.

Our Price: £450.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the UK.
