This is a very unusual beautiful old sidelock sporting shotgun of side-by-side construction and hammer action, made we believe in Germany though unnamed. A Victorian era shotgun, with beautiful hardwood furniture and integral cheek-piece in super condition, steel buttplate, with what appears to be a bone underlever for breaking the barrels, and a similar material piece of styling behind the ornate steel trigger guard. Action sides have light engraving showing hunting scenes, with an overall pleasant patina to all the steel including the 30.75 inch damascus barrels, complete with sling points. This unique shotgun cocks and dry-fires on both barrels and can be fully stripped, and will make a superb display piece. Two vintage inert waxed paper 12 bore cartridges are included, with more available separately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section. Deactivated in the UK with proofhouse certificate of deactivation.
