Deactivated G.B. Richardson 12-bore hammer shotgun **SOLD**
This is a double-barrelled hammer action shotgun of side-by-side construction with top-lever breaking and 25.5 inch Damascus barrels, made by George Richardson of Barnard Castle, Durham. Richardson made guns of good quality from around 1890, and the family business still existed into the 1960s. This example is in super condition for it's age, with lightly cross-hatched hardwood rear and forestock, and intricately and extensively engraved metalwork showing hunting scenes and floral pattern, with the makers name between the barrels. There is a small piece of wood missing from under the stock by the trigger guard, but this could easily be repaired and in no way effects the action. This shotgun breaks, cocks and dry-fires with a very precise action on both barrels and can be fully stripped. A fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! Two inert cartridges are included to compliment this classic vintage hunting shotgun. More are available seperately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered together.
