Deactivated French Modele 1892 revolver, 1914 dated, early EU spec
Deactivated French Modele 1892 revolver, 1914 dated, early EU spec
This is the French Modele 1892, sometimes called the St.Etienne 8mm, after the factory that made it and it's calibre, and sometimes called the Lebel 8mm, though there is no evidence of a connection between Lebel and this revolver. Issued to officers in all arms of the French services, it was used right up till the 1960s. This particular example is in very good original condition, dated 1914 on the barrel, with excellent wooden grips and good blacking to the steel. This revolver has a precise action and will cock and dry-fire. A lovely authentic un-messed with example of this unusual service revolver. Inert rounds not included, but are available in the Inert Ammo section. Deactivated in the UK with proofhouse certificate of deactivation.
