Deactivated French Lebel Mle 1886 infantry rifle 1910 dated SOLD

This is the Lebel modele 1886 infantry rifle. Designed in 1886 and in service use the following year, it continued in production up until 1920, with only a change in 1893 following a modification to the bolt, designated the M93. Very inovative with it's 8 cartridge under-barrel-magazine design in 1886, by WW1, it had been  overtaken by the german Mauser G98, and british SMLE in terms of rapidity of fire, though the M1886 saw action right up to WW2. This particular example  is in amazing original condition with undamaged complete original furniture and most of the original blueing to the steel. Furthermore, matching serial numbers to breech and bolt and a date of 1910 on the barrel, making this a rare and complete WW1 rifle. Can be cocked and dry-fired.  Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
