Deactivated Frederick Williams 12-bore hammer shotgun, early spec **SOLD**
This is a 12-bore double-barrelled hammer action shotgun of side-by-side construction made by Frederick Williams of London and Birmingham, as marked faintly on the top of the full 30 inch barrels, and on the action sides. A manufacturer of premium quality, handmade sporting guns since the early 1880s, he had premises in the heart of the Birmingham gun making district. This Victorian-era example is in very good condition, with very nice hardwood rear and forestock. The delicately engraved metalwork still retaining a lovely patina, as do the barrels. This shotgun breaks, cocks and dry-fires with a very precise action on both barrels, and can be fully stripped. It would make a fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! Two inert cartridges are included, with more available seperately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered with the shotgun. Deactivated in the UK with certificate of deactivation.
