An early WW1 .303 calibre Winchester made Pattern 14 Enfield rifle, known more simply as the P14. A service rifle used during WW1 and issued to the Home Guard in WW2, it was declared obsolete in 1947. These rifles were also popular for sniper use due to their greater accuracy than the SMLE. Typical of  early examples this rifle has volley sights ( though not complete), and regimental butt disc (though blanked off!). Lovely authentic woodwork on this rifle, with just the usual knocks you'd expect from a service rifle that's nearly 100 years old!  Painted unit number on the butt, and evidence of other identifying paintwork around the breech that has been removed. Very good original blued finish on the steel makes this a lovely authentic piece of history.  Cocks and dry fires, and is fully strippable, and fitted with correct webbing  sling. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
