Deactivated Enfield P14 rifle Winchester made **SOLD**

This is an early WW1 .303 calibre Pattern 14 Enfield rifle, marked with a W prefix in the serial number on the receiver for Winchester, and known more simply as the P14. A service rifle used during WW1 and issued to the Home Guard in WW2, it was declared obsolete in 1947. These rifles were also popular for sniper use due to their greater accuracy than the SMLE. Typical of  early examples this rifle has volley sights ( though not complete), and regimental butt disc. Lovely authentic woodwork on this rifle in very good condition, and excellent original blued finish on the steel makes this a lovely authentic piece of history, and evidence of green cammo paint still remains on the steel. Cocks and dry fires with a precise action, and is fully strippable, and comes fitted with correct webbing  sling. Inert round shown are not included. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
