Deactivated Enfield P14, ERA made, Parker-Hale sight mount

This is an WW1 .303 calibre Enfield Pattern 14 rifle, marked ERA for Eddystone Remington Arms, who made these rifles under contract to the British Government, along with Winchester. Known more simply as the P14, it is a service rifle used during WW1 and issued to the Home Guard in WW2, until declared obsolete in 1947. These rifles were also popular for sniper use due to their greater accuracy than the SMLE, and this example is fitted with incomplete Parker-Hale Mk V sights and a telescopic sight mount on the breech. The later style stock is in very sound original condition, all matching nicely. The original bluing to the steel is also very good. This is a current spec EU deactivation, so will not cock and dry fires, but still has full moving bolt and sprung trigger and is mostly strippable. Comes with genuine webbing sling, and a full clip of inert .303 rounds. A lovely authentic example of this popular rifle. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK/EU specification.
