Deactivated Chinese Mauser Type 24 infantry rifle **SOLD**
This is the Chinese Type Zhongzheng rifle, or simpler, Type 24. So-named as production commenced in 1935, year 24 in the Chinese Revolutionary calendar. The Type 24 was a Chinese-made version of the German export Mauser M33, and was one of the main battle rifles of the National Revolutionary Army (NRA), serving through WW2 and up to conflicts in the 1950s. This particular example is in good original condition, with sound woodwork and steel, but with some evidence of rust pitting on the butt-plate and sling point. Able to be cocked and dry-fired and fully strippable, this is an unusual military Mauser rifle. Deactivated in the UK with Proof-House certificate to UK specification.
