This is a 12-bore double-barrelled hammer shotgun of side-by-side construction made by Charles Francis & Son of Peterborough as marked between the two 30" barrels.  This example is in lovely condition with classic cross-hatched hardwood rear and forestock, with just the odd mark that would be expected on an Edwardian-era shotgun. Plain action, with a pleasant patina of age and no signs of any corrosion to the steel, and very nicely blacked barrels. This shotgun breaks with sprung hammers and moving triggers, but no dry-fire under current regulations. It would make a fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! Two inert cartridges are included, with more available seperately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered  with the shotgun. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
