Deactivated Charles Boswell made 16-bore boxlock shotgun **SOLD**
This is a 16-bore double-barrelled boxlock action shotgun of side-by-side construction made by Charles Boswell of 126, The Strand, London, as marked on the action sides. A manufacturer of high quality, handmade sporting guns since 1869, they were at this address from 1884 till 1922, placing this shotgun between those dates. This example is in lovely condition, with classic cross-hatched hardwood rear and forestock, and profusely engraved metalwork, with no signs of corrosion anywhere. This shotgun breaks, cocks and dry-fires on both barrels with a very precise action, and can be fully stripped. It would make a fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! Two inert cartridges are included, with more available seperately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered with the shotgun. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
