Deactivated British Sten mk5 9mm submachine gun, matching serial numbers **SOLD**

This is the British Sten MK5 submachine gun brought into service in 1944. Historically the Sten gun was known as the 'plumber's delight' and the 'stench gun' due to it's simplicity and ease of manufacture. Together with others,  this was one of the weapons that the UK developed  when faced with German invasion.  Over 4 million Stens were made and the Mark 5 was the culmination of it's wartime development, except for the suppressed version designated as the mk6. This example is in very good original condition, retaining nearly all its blacked finish, with beautiful woodwork, and matching serial numbers to stock and foresight. A current spec deactivation, it has a fixed cocking handle, but as a plus, it does retain all the visible section of the original bolt, though fully welded. With removable magazine and detachable wooden butt-stock, it can be partially stripped as shown, and comes with 3 rounds of inert 9mm ammunition and original sling to complete the package.   Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to full UK/EU specification.

Our price: £545.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the EU.
