Deactivated British Sten mk5 9mm submachine gun **SOLD**

This is the British Sten MK5 submachine gun brought into service in 1944. Historically the Sten gun was known as the 'plumbers delight' and the 'stench gun' due to it's simplicity and ease of manufacture. Together with others,  this was one of the weapons that the UK developed  when faced with German invasion.  Over 4 million Stens were made and the Mark 5 was the culmination of it's wartime development, except for the suppressed version designated as the mk6. This example is in very good condition, retaining nearly all its blacked finish, and has a moving trigger. A current spec deactivation, it retains all the visible section of the original bolt, though fully welded, and the mag housing rotates to the shipping position as shown. With removable magazine and detachable wooden unit-marked butt-stock, it can be fully stripped as shown, and comes with 3 rounds of inert 9mm ammunition to complete the package.  Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to full UK specification.

Our price: £545.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
