Deactivated British R. W. Bloxham 12-bore boxlock shotgun **SOLD**
This is a 12-bore double-barrelled boxlock action shotgun of side-by-side construction made by R. W. Bloxham of Leicester, as marked clearly on the top of the 29 inch Damascus barrels. This example is in lovely condition, with classic lightly cross-hatched hardwood rear and forestock, with just the very minor knocks as would be expected on a Victorian-era shotgun. Delicately abundantly engraved metalwork, still retaining a lovely patina on the majority of the steel, including the barrels. This shotgun does break, cock and dry-fire, and can be fully stripped, however it does tend to jam and needs a bit of a look-at. Hence the lower price. It would still make a fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! Two inert cartridges are included, with more available seperately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered with the shotgun. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
