Deactivated American Thompson M1A1 submachine-gun, early spec SOLD

This is the famous 0.45" caliber Thompson submachine gun, better known as the 'Tommy Gun', synonymous with every gangster movie and widely used in every conflict since (but not including) WW1, up to the Bosnian War. This particular variant is the M1A1, and could be produced in half the time and at much lower cost than the M1928A1, from which it was developed. Built at the Auto-Ordnance Corporation, Connecticut USA, this example would have been produced from 1942.  It is in very good authentic condition, with excellent finish to the steel and very good original woodwork too.  This smg is an early specification deactivation, and as such has full moving parts, so can be cocked and dry-fired. Partially field strippable, as shown, with removeable 30-round stick magazine. 2 rounds of inert .45 ACP cartridges are included,  to compliment this classic submachine gun. They are also available separately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered together.  Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
