Deactivated American Thompson M1A1 .45 cal smg, sliding cocking handle

This is the famous 0.45" caliber Thompson sub-machine gun, better known as the 'Tommy Gun', synonymous with every gangster movie and widely used in every conflict since (but not including) WW1, up to the Bosnian War. This particular variant is the M1A1, and it could be produced in half the time and at much lower cost than the M1928A1 from which it was developed. Built at the Auto-Ordnance Corporation, Bridgeport, Connecticut USA, this example would have been produced mid-WW2 from around 1942 till the end of the war. It is in super authentic condition, with excellent blacked finish to the steel and sound original well-matching woodwork. This smg is a latest specification deactivation, but has fully moving trigger and fire-select lever and safety lever, and has a sliding cocking handle, so still can provide a lot of interest. Comes with removeable 30-round stick magazine, and quality repro authentic sling, and a couple of inert .45 ACP rounds to load into the magazine. The inert rounds, and WW2 lend-lease inert rounds are also available separately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section from £1.50 each, post free if ordered together. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK/EU specification.

Our Price: £925.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the UK/EU.
