This is a Model 55 single-barrelled bolt-action 12 bore shotgun made by the Marlin Firearms Company of North Haven, Connecticut, USA. Produced from 1962 till 1988, it features a huge 36 inch barrel, and is fed from a 2-round detachable box magazine. This example is in good condition, with good undamaged hardwood furniture showing only marks from hunting use, and good steel showing only minor signs of corrosion. This interesting and unusual shotgun cocks and dry-fires with a fully working action and functional safety, and comes with 2 inert 12g cartridges to load in the magazine.
