Deactivated American M1 Carbine, Universal made, old spec deactivation **SOLD**
This is a 0.30 inch calibre US M1 Carbine marked Universal, Hialeah, Fla (Florida) cal .30 M1 on the breech. This is an old spec deactivation, so can be cocked and dry-fired with a precise action, has a detachable magazine and comes with correct sling with oiler bottle, spare mag pouch and a couple of inert rounds to load into the magazine. The original hardwood furniture is in very good condition, with only a few minor marks, and the steel retains nearly all its original blued finish. Of interest is the perforated steel upper handguard of the type fitted to the M2, and research shows these carbines were used by the Royal Ulster Constabulary. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
